Long, long ago, I needed to have a couple of molars pulled out. However, because I was put on warfarin following a second heart attack, I was referred to the dentistry department at St Luke’s Hospital. The extraction operation was duly carried out painlessly and very efficiently by one of the very good dental students. I was told at the time that they can also fit with me with a spanking new set of dentures.
This job was entrusted to Kevin Briffa, a very friendly and super efficient student, whom I would like to let know, that after some judicious sanding down, the new gnashers he supplied me with, fitted perfectly and comfortably.
Yes it took a long time, and at times it seemed a forlorn hope that I will ever get my new dentures. Somehow the casts kept getting lost, right till the end, I thought that I would have to settle for half a set. However, all’s well that ends well, It was not really Kevin’s fault that the blessed things kept disappearing.
Despite the long wait and at times frustration, I have to say that it was a pleasant experience meeting these hard working diligent students, and their tutors.
Kevin is in his final year, he does not need me to wish him luck, because I know that he will pass with flying colours. So old toothless fogies will soon have an excellent dentist to deal with their dental problems.
Thank you and good luck Kevin, you have a very satisfied customer.
