Reference is made to the report Naxxar council welcomes CCTV monitoring at bring-in sites (TMID 27 August).

As reported, Naxxar local council is very concerned about bring-in sites, but it should also take more interest in other matters too.

For example, heavy vehicles full of stones and debris are driven by very close to the one-metre pavement in St Paul’s Street, and there have been occasions when debris has fallen off.

The very simple solution should be that such vehicles are stopped from using this residential road and start using the new link road between Birguma and Iklin.

This matter has been raised many times with the local council but to date no action has been taken.
