EU Council directive 73/157/EEC referring to permissible sound levels of motor vehicles is being competely ignored. And it is the same with other local traffic regulations. This is mostly noticeable late in the evenings at Qawra/Bugibba. Loud music, noisy silencers and hooting of horns after 11o’clock made by drivers are the order of the day till the early hours.
