Kellogg’s has launched a campaign targeting all those who wish to improve their inner health. The two-week Kellogg’s All-Bran Challenge is simply a way of helping individuals towards balanced inner health. “All it takes is one bowl of cereal from the Kellogg’s All-Bran range, every day for two weeks,” said Jenny Xydeas from Kellogg UK.
Each Kellogg’s All-Bran cereal is high in fibre so any of the range of All-Bran can be chosen, according to preference and the amount of fibre in the individual’s normal diet. The amount of fibre provided is clearly labelled on each pack to help the choice.
The Kellogg’s All-Bran range, which can help give an individual up to 50 per cent of the recommended daily intake of fibre, includes All-Bran Original, Bran Flakes, Sultana Bran and Fruit ‘n Fibre. Having the right amount of fibre in one’s diet is a real step in the right direction when it comes to helping improve one’s inner health.
“It’s well known that a high fibre diet has positive effects on health, like reducing the risk of diabetes, heart disease and cancers. What’s not so well-known is that these effects may also help in feeling lighter and more energetic,” said Ms Xydeas.
Because All-Bran cereals are high in fibre, the difference could be felt within a few days. “Lighter”, “less tired” and “an added spring in the step” are ways some people have described the effect. By being healthy on the inside you are bound to feel great on the outside.
It should be remembered that fibre is naturally absorbent, so in order to feel the full benefit of the increased fibre diet, it is recommended that individuals taking up this challenge drink at least eight large glasses of water a day.
After the challenge, feeling great should be the habit of a lifetime. In the longer term, eating foods rich in fibre can help improve the health of one’s digestive system.
The new healthier lifestyle should also include the consumption of fruit and vegetables and physical activity.
