The Maltese Islands Scrabble Club was recently launched. Enthusiasts of the game of Scrabble residing in Malta or Gozo now have a wider choice where they prefer to play and with whom they wish to associate.

The club is situated at the St. Aloysius Sports & Leisure Complex, which is centrally located in Birkirkara, easily reached from all parts of Malta, and with ample free parking facilities.

A number of Scrabble veterans have enrolled as members of the new club. Some of these are past Malta champions who represented Malta in World Scrabble Championships.

Among the new club members, there are also several players who are beginners, or who simply enjoy playing the game leisurely as a pastime.
