The latest large format 3D movie to come to Malta will be launched at the IMAX Theatre in St Julian’s on Wednesday, 19 October.

Ultimate G’s: Zac’s Flying Dream is a drama about a boy who dreams of flying and grows up to make those dreams come true. Eleven-year-old Zac (Michael Cera) is constantly inventing flying machines with the help of his friend Laura. As the two grow up they separate, but both become pilots. Sixteen years later, while visiting Laura at her aerial mechanics shop in Arizona, Zac is challenged to an aerobatic duel by a rival.

The result is a thrilling flying sequence over the Grand Canyon. Filmed in IWerks 3D, Ultimate G’s puts the viewer in the front seat of an Extra 300 aerobatic monoplane. Pilots from the Air Combat Canada air show team, and world aerobatic champion, Eric Haagenson, engage in solo flight, dog fights, formation and aerobatic flying.

What begins with shots of a kid trying to fly in his bicycle evolves into daring aerobatics performed by world-renowned pilots on Extra 300L planes. This is a bonanza for flight enthusiasts, who will be able to experience such aerobatic feats as the inverted cyclone, near-miss crosses, knife-edge spins, loops, rolls, hammerheads, inverted flight, tail slides, torque rolls, inverted spins, tumbles, and real combat tactics.
