‘Come on the Stripes’ is a programme fully produced by Birkirkara Football Club to be screened live on Smash TV every Thursdays from 7pm to 8pm and repeated on Sundays from 1.30pm to 2.30pm.
The programme will offer the numerous supporters of Birkirkara FC the latest news, reviews and previews of the weekend games besides various features about the club’s history and discussions about a variety of topics.
It will be presented by Ms Mirana Silvio who was involved in another sports programme in the past on TVM. She will be hosting four guests and will also be in contact with the viewers through the phone and SMS.
Besides being a service to the numerous supporters of the club, the Board of Directors feels that a television programme would definitely help to give first hand information and news. In fact, the main aim of the club is to give a true perspective of what is going on.
This programme will offer an objective and an unbiased view of the situation and also will give the opportunity to the club’s supporters and the general public to air their views.
Reappointment of Michael Spiteri in Technical Board
Birkirkara have also announced that Michael Spiteri ex-Birkirkara FC and ex-national team player, has been appointed to join the Technical Staff of the club.
Spiteri had already formed part of the Technical Staff in last year’s league campaign from January to June 2005 and was very much instrumental in assisting the coach Stephen Azzopardi to achieve a memorable unbeaten streak from February to the end of the season.
The club said the addition of Spiteri will definitely help to enhance quality and dedication of their technical staff.
