The traffic lights at the Kappara roundabout have been switched off but the area is a nightmare when it comes to safety. Most drivers do not use roundabouts correctly and it is a miracle that no serious accidents have as yet taken place.

The problem was not the lights but the timing of when the lights changed, as with most traffic lights still operating on this traffic-congested island.

May I suggest that the lights be switched on again but adjusted to change more frequently.

The same could be done with all the other traffic lights. This is how they should operate, as they do in other major European cities.
