A theft from a house occurred yesterday morning at around 7.30am in Main Street, Tarxien.

After preliminary investigations by the police, it resulted that as a man was entering his residence in the said street, two hooded men came out of the house carrying objects they had stolen.

The robbers stopped a driver in the street and took over the vehicle with which they escaped from the scene. No one was hurt in the incident.

Duty Magistrate Lawrence Quintano appointed several persons to assist him in the official inquiry.

The police are holding a man to help them in their inquiries.
