My daughter was one of the 2,500 children who was present when Queen Elizabeth II visited the Cottonera Sports Complex last Thursday.

It was a memorable experience for her and I think that she will never forget it.

I am one of the many parents who allowed their children to go in spite of the threats that had supposedly been made before Her Majesty’s visit, and I do not regret it.

I must say “thank you” to the organisers of the event because they left no stone unturned to keep the children occupied as they waited for the Queen to arrive. No doubt, the climax of it all was the Queen’s presence and I must say that even this was perfectly-organised.

I am glad that my daughter had this experience.
