I write to express my congratulations to the Police Corps and the Armed Forces of Malta who were so busy throughout all the preparations for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, and during the summit itself.

I believe that the way they handled the tough situation deserves all the praise that they can get. They worked long hours in difficult circumstances and yet they did so with impeccable dedication.

The pressure they must have all felt, especially during the course of the past weekend, must have been enormous. But their good planning enabled them to handle the situation perfectly.

We were all worried that the CHOGM would disrupt our lives for those three eventful days and yet everything went smoothly.

Well done indeed!
