Friends, Maltese, countrymen, lend me your eyes and ears!

“It has been a long time since we have seen Europeans protest under a banner that urges solely ‘No to government arrogance’ and ‘No to redundancies’ ” (Daphne Caruana Galizia, TMID 1 December).

It’s a pity; maybe the arrogance of the European elite would be minimised if they had somebody to tell them to pull their socks up concerning creating jobs for people in EU countries, including Malta. As for the protest march disapproved of by Mrs Caruana Galizia, does she believe that complacency should be the name of the game just because Malta is an EU member state?

If she does, she is certainly in for a nasty surprise. Use your “notebook” to jot down the number of protest marches in future, dear Daphne.
