Senglea president Michael Mercieca has resigned from his post with immediate effect.

He has also told the club in his letter of resignation that his decision is definite, irreversible and will not be discussed.

In his letter, he stopped short of mentioning the reason behind his decision, but said that it was clear there there were serious differences between him and other members of the committee.
