Some might think that because I am a fervent labourite, I will not go so far as to sing the praises of something that was done under a Nationalist government.

Well, you are wrong dear readers, you are dead wrong. During my late beloved mum’s story staying in Boffa Hospital, I learnt what true dedication towards a patient is all about. Under Dr Noel Fenech’s supervision, head of Boffa Hospital who has done miracles with few resources, the hospital has changed from a warlocks cave into a four-star hotel overnight. Although terminally ill patients “abode” there, there is simply nothing depressing about the state of the hospital. Contrary to what some people might think, as soon as you set foot inside the hospital, peace and tranquillity comforts the heart of the terminally ill and their families. Whoever dares to criticise this hospital is (a) either a hard to please person who will find fault with heaven itself or (b) a die hard labourite who finds it very hard to find something favourable under Nationalist regime or (c) someone who thinks the hospital is made just for his/her services and expects first class treatment 24 hours a day as if he/she is the only terminally ill patient. Truth be told, if anyone dares to find fault with any member of the staff, security guards included, it will indeed be a major feat for me if I manage to control myself from the anger that will certainly overpower me.

My congratulations go to Dr Noel Fenech for the “miracles” he performed regarding this hospital. May God be with you everyday of you life.
