Please allow me space in your paper to add my hopes for the coming year to those of your regular contributor Marisa Micallef (TMID, 2 January).

My first hope is that regular contributors to our local papers will stop pontificating by telling us what we should do and should not do.

They should stop trying to impose their lifestyle and morals on us and they should stop their know-all attitude and use their efforts for more useful matters.
