I am saddened by the fact that the Maltese have chosen to link religion with money

matters.

The fact that the highest number of votes received in the recent poll on the euro coinage was that of the Baptism of Christ shows that the people, in spite of being so religious, have little knowledge on what the Bible says.

It is specifically stated that what is God’s should be God’s and what is Caeser’s should be Caeser’s, which means that there should be a distinction between what is spiritual and what is business. Once again however the Maltese have chosen to ignore this.

I believe that it would be wrong to have a religious figure on Maltese euro coins.
