I would like to raise my objections to the fact that on Thursday, 16 February, the TV stations’ news bulletins (NET 7.45pm and PBS 8pm) felt it was appropriate to air the appalling images of the violence used on inmates at Abu Ghraib detention centre in Iraq.
It is totally unacceptable to present such explicit images without any prior notice that these images might upset viewers. In addition, the fact that these were aired at prime time, (during dinner of course!) they were also likely to be seen by kids.
It would be appreciated if more was assumed by whoever is responsible.
