I refer to the article “Snakes and Ladders” regarding a complaint about electricity wires in a building in Valletta. (TMIS, 12 February).

Enemalta Corporation investigated this complaint and would like to confirm that Enemalta employees visited the premises mentioned by your correspondent. No exposed or dangerous wires were found except for a small cable supplying electricity to other premises that needed to be removed.

The delay occurred because the cable was supplying electricity to other buildings and the owners of these buildings could not be reached.

The cable has now been disconnected from the electricity supply and removed.
