As part of the overall strategy to improve water pressure management and the reliability of supply, the Water Services Corporation said that the first phase of upgrading of the principal water mains in the Mdina and Nigret area in Rabat is almost ready.

The corporation has commissioned two new distribution mains in Triq Bir Ir-Riebu in Rabat and the final pressure tests and connections are currently underway.

The corporation added that it regretted the inconvenience residents in Mdina and parts of Nigret in Rabat have had to endure, but that as from yesterday evening the water supply in these two zones was expected to be much better.
