The McLaren F1 Club (Malta) has just published the seventh issue of its official annual Formula One magazine – PITPASS - which is replete with articles and pictures covering various topics on motor sport of interest to fans of the fast lane.
The magazine, which can be obtained free by writing to the club at P.O. BOX 76, Paola PLA 16 or by sending an e-mail to [email protected], beside the extensive 2005 Formula One review, features all the activities which the McLaren club organised during the past season, including two karting competitions and a tour to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
Readers can also browse through a wealth of background information on the McLaren world of motor racing in articles about the specifications of the MP4-20 Formula One car, McLaren-Mercedes ten-year partnership, and Mercedes’ triumphs in the DTM and Formula 3 championships.
In her editorial, club chairperson Penelope Ciangura welcomes F1 enthusiasts and readers to the seventh edition of PITPASS, while club official Ian Ciangura writes about the Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren high-performance car, while accredited FIA journalist Pierre Vella gives a detailed analyses of the past F1 season in an interesting article titled “Nearly there…” replete with pictures taken by the author during grand prixs. Godwin Cini, a regular contributor in this magazine, writes about “The Road to Grand Prix Racing” going as far back as 1887 when the first ever known attempt to organize an automobile racing event took place.
