The Management and Personnel Office within the Office of the Prime Minister has upheld a request by the Union Haddiema Maghqudin for people who reach the age of retirement to take the vacation leave there are entitled to.

The UHM had originally objected to a decision to change the method with which the leave entitlement of those people who are about to retire is calculated. As a result of this decision, a number of people were adversely affected, the UHM said.

Following a meeting between the UHM and representatives of the MPO, the decision was fine-tuned and the workers who reach retirement age are now given the vacation leave they are entitled to.
