For months now, we residents and farmers of Manikata, Ghajn Tuffieha and ix-Xaghra l-Hamra, have heard nothing more about the government’s infamous proposal to build a huge golf course on pristine agricultural land and unspoilt countryside.

We venture to ask: Is it the calm before the storm? Or is the government just waiting for the EIA to be completed and then use it as an excuse to save face before shelving this insensible project?

We are on tenterhooks to know the outcome!
