Drugs Not sold at Track Bar

Malta Independent Sunday, 12 March 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

From Dr J. D'Agostino

I write on the instructions of Emmanuel Schembri of "Track Bar", 45, Clarence Street, Msida, with reference to the law report entitled "Man accused of drug trafficking arrested next to PBS" by Gerald Fenech (TMIS, 17 July 2005). In the subsequent coverage of the matter, of which my client was only made aware of last week, it was reported that Noel Frendo known as "it-Tali" sold drugs in my client's bar.

Mr Schembri would like to make it clear that he is not associated in any way with Noel Frendo or Ivan Falzon, and does not even know them. Mr Schembri would also like to make it clear that he does not tolerate any illegal act in his establishment notably, but not only limited, the sale of drugs, and that Mr Falzon's assertions during Noel Frendo's trial are completely unfounded and untrue.

Consequently, Mr Schembri reserves his rights at law to proceed judicially against Ivan Falzon.

James D'Agostino

Obo Mr Emmanuel Schembri
