From Mr A. Corlett
What a sheer pleasure it was for the group of young Harp (High School Associates for Research of Principles) members to visit the Ghadira Nature Reserve one Sunday afternoon in February.
May I take this opportunity to thank Arnold Sciberras and his colleagues who welcomed us so warmly. Mr Sciberras voluntarily gave up his precious time to guide us along the tracks of this splendid Maltese wetland. He walked the trail with us, enthusiastically giving detailed information about the history and geography; flora and fauna; birds and fish that enrich this unique natural reserve.
I appeal to Maltese and foreigners alike to visit the Ghadira Nature Reserve especially during the spring season when Nature bubbles with colour and life. If you’re on holiday put it on your list of special places to visit when you are on this beautiful island. Thank you Bird Life for protecting and nurturing what’s left of our natural heritage. Your dedication is both appreciated and encouraged.
