Young shooter William Chetcuti (pictured) will be Malta’s flagbearer at tonight’s Opening Ceremony. He had won a bronze medal in the Double Trap competition at the last Games held in Manchester, England in 2002.
Malta is taking part with its largest contingent ever in these Games – 33 athletes.
During the march-past, the contingent, including the 33 athletes and the accompanying officials, will be headed by the Chef de Mission, Pippo Psaila, who is also the Malta Olympic Committee’s Director of Sport, and Marie Therese Zammit, Assistant Chef de Mission and secretary of the Lawn Bowls Federation.
