Corinthia’s Budapest Hotel now has its Royal Residence

Malta Independent Friday, 24 March 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

The Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal in Budapest has launched its latest addition – the Royal Residence – 26 upscale serviced apartments situated around a tranquil and spacious courtyard and garden located at the rear of the hotel. The apartments are linked to the main hotel building by a glass-covered walkway over Harsfa Street.

The project, which took less than 12 months to complete, is now being marketed as the most elegant and fully-serviced apartment development in the Hungarian capital. All the apartments include a fully-fitted kitchen, marble bathrooms, fully-carpeted designer bedrooms and spacious living and dining areas. Parking is provided in the hotel’s secure car park beneath the apartments.

The marketing of the Royal Residence is being mainly directed at meeting the increasing demand for top quality long-stay accommodation from relocated senior executives, embassy staff and film crews working in Budapest. Initial results have been optimistic and a number of long-term rental agreements have been concluded.

Residents of the Royal Residence, together with the hotel guests, will also soon be able to use the renovated 19th century Royal Spa connected to the Grand Hotel and which is nearing completion.

The Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal was acquired by International Hotel Investments Plc (IHI) in 2000, and was completely rebuilt into a landmark five-star hotel which was inaugurated in 2003.
