HMS Gloucester will pay a routine visit to Malta from 11-13 April 2006. Captained by Commander Mike Paterson, HMS Gloucester is a Type 42 Destroyer. She is 141 metres long and displaces 4,675 tonnes. HMS Gloucester has a complement of 26 officers, and a total ship’s company of 301. Although not open to the public during her stay, HMS Gloucester will be hosting 30 Sea Cadets from the Maritime Institute for a brief tour.
