The quick intervention of the police resulted in them managing to foil a burglary in Santa Venera on Sunday evening.

The police were alerted that two men were trying to break into a house in Santa Venera. When they saw the police car, the men fled but one was nonetheless apprehended some time later in Hamrun. He was found to be in the possession of a screwdriver.

The police are hoping that the investigations could lead to the identification of the man’s partner-in-crime.
