The local council in Vittoriosa has condemned vandals who threw burnt oil on the paving in front of one of the main entrances to the city on Wednesday evening.

Thanks to the intervention of the police and members of the Rescue Corp, the oil was contained before further damage could be caused.

Yesterday morning, public cleaning employees continued to clean up the area.

The council urged the public to contact the police if they had any information in relation to this irresponsible act.
