Marsaxlokk’s Stephen Wellman was yesterday handed a two-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner.

He was the centre of a controversy after Sliema lodged a protest claiming he was ineligible to play as he had not served a suspended issued on 8 March.

The MFA Protests Board did not uphold the protest on Thursday evening.
