A teenager was charged yesterday with holding a girl against her will and seriously injuring her on the night between Monday and Tuesday in St Paul’s Bay.
The 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named as he is still a minor, was charged with illegally arresting and seriously injuring the girl, who can also not be named, by court order. He was also charged with damaging her Samsung mobile phone and breaching the peace.
The teenager, who comes from St Paul’s Bay, was not granted bail and will be held in custody at Mount Carmel Hospital.
Police inspector Josric Mifsud prosecuted and Dr Peter Fenech appeared for the defendant.
