On the occasion of the inauguration of the Boys Secondary School at St Benedict’s College in Kirkop, an open day is being held at the school on Sunday.

This secondary school will form part of the college that brings in children from the adjoining villages of Zurrieq, Safi, Mqabba, Qrendi, Ghaxaq, Gudja and Birzebbuga.

The open day will commence at 9.30am with a Mass and will continue until 5pm. Various activities will be organised during the day, including treasure hunts, drama, an exhibition of vintage cars, a show by the Police Corps Dogs Section, an abseiling demonstration by the Scouts and a demonstration by the Civil Protection Unit’s Fire Department.

Tours around the school will take place every 15 minutes.
