A Labour Party complaint has been upheld by Public Broadcasting Services, the party said yesterday.
The Labour Party had complained that a programme on Radio Malta, hosted by Dr Georg Sapiano, had discussed the political situation in Malta in the 1970s and 1980s, in a biased and partisan manner. In its protest it called on PBS to give the party the opportunity to appear on the programme and give its views on the subject.
In a letter to the Labour Party, the registered editor of PBS, Silvana Cristina said she had decided that certain issues had been discussed in the programme Shibboleth that called “for the Labour Party’s views”.
She asked the party to provide her with the name and contact details of the person chosen by the MLP who would be invited on the programme.
