Following the successful performance of the drum-dancing and musical drama Katanga! by a troupe of Congolese immigrants at the Malta Drama Centre, there has been a general request for a repeat performance.

The extra show will be presented today, at the same venue in Blata l-Bajda (entrance through Maria Regina Junior Lyceum, in front of the Nationalist Party headquarters).

The programme will retain the same repertoire, including a sequence, which involves the audience in the celebration of African rhythms. The part of the show proved very successful and, as one performer put it, “The public was ready to open all its emotional doors to us.”
