I refer to the attack made by Fabrizio Gatt on the work of the Housing Authority and my apparently personal intervention in this case (TMIS, 30 April).
While I have referred the letter to our lawyer and board secretary, I would like to rebut all the ridiculous allegations made in my regard.
The decisions made in this case stem from the fact that today, those who were given plots for free in the past are charged if they wish to redevelop their land, something some people find difficult to accept.
This is a Board decision that holds true for all and there was certainly no personal intervention in my case to make the Gatts’ life difficult, although they continue to make this unfounded allegation, both in your newspaper and with everyone they meet, who without fail always apologise to me when told the true facts, facts I will not disclose in a letter to a newspaper but which will be dealt with by our lawyer.
