A group of eight students from the Dun Salv Portelli Primary School in San Lawrenz Gozo, their head of school and their class teacher have returned from a three-day camp on the island of Lanzarote in the Canaries.
The camp was the prize they won for their work and participation in the “Talking through Time” eTwinning project together with a partner school from Scotland.
The project focused on the different roles that Malta and Scotland played during World War II.
Over 70 students from other European countries that have won a place attended the exclusive camp.
Both students and teachers had the opportunity to meet other students and teachers they had worked so intensely with through the internet, email and in chatrooms as part of their eTwinning activities.
More details about the camp and eTwinning, which is an action supported by the European Commission, can be found at www.etwinning.net or by phoning the eTwinning National Support Service within the Department of Technology in Education of the Education Division on 2598-2150.
