St James Cavalier, Centre for Creativity, together with the Manoel Theatre, are inviting theatre and dance-theatre organisations and companies, drama schools, dance schools, theatre practitioners, and any other individuals interested in children’s theatre to establish ASSITEJ Centre in Malta.
ASSITEJ is an autonomous international organisation set up in 70 countries to develop contacts between practitioners in the field of arts for young audiences through its strong national and international networks, encouraging the production, creation and diffusion of Theatre for Children and Young People. Interested organisations are requested to submit an application by not later than Friday 2 June. A steering committee has been set up to establish the centre in Malta.
The committee is co-chaired by Wilfred Kenely and Michael Fenech and composed of Judie Farrugia, Chris Gatt, Sarah Spiteri and Toni Attard.
Through the national and international network ASSITEJ (Malta) will be assisting local artists to develop professional theatre for children on the highest artistic level through numerous projects which follow the aims established by ASSITEJ.
