The University of Malta has been commissioned to prepare a master plan for Valletta, said Resources and Infrastructure Minister Ninu Zammit.
He was speaking at an exhibition of projects designed by foreign students from the University of Applied Sciences in Anhalt, Germany, who chose Malta’s capital city for their project work.
The exhibition was entitled Landscape Architecture Conceptual Proposals for Valletta and Floriana.
The minister said that a master plan was needed in order to protect the diversity that existed in the capital city, its history and its beauty.
The master plan will serve as a guide for all future development in Valletta.
