New CEO For WSC

Marc Muscat (photo) has been appointed chief executive officer of the Water Services Corporation with effect from 15 May.

Mr Muscat was educated at St Aloysius College and graduated in mechanical engineering from the University of Malta in 1980. He was employed by Merit (Malta) Ltd and later joined Honeywell MEBV in 1981.

He worked as a project engineer in various Middle Eastern countries on projects that varied from conference centres to airports and hospitals in the fields of automation and controls.

Mr Muscat returned to Malta in 1987 and since then has occupied various senior management positions in industry, from manufacturing manager with Medelec Switchgear Ltd to general manager with Hygiwear Ltd. He subsequently spent 10 years as the general manager of Bim Ltd, covering both services and manufacturing.

Mr Muscat has also served as a council member of the Malta Employers’ Association.
