I would like to thank all organisers for giving the Maltese public the opportunity to attend concerts of big music stars.

Over the past years we have had many of them to came over to our shores. Many people cannot afford to go abroad for concerts, and therefore having these stars come to Malta to give performances is the only way for these people to be able to attend.

We started off with one or two every year, but it seems that over the past months there has been a boost in this respect. We are having more and more opportunities and although I have not been to all of them – because, I must say, not all kinds of music are to my liking – I must admit that we have a wide selection.

One comment I would like to make is that the price for attending such concerts should be kept as low as possible. I understand that there are expenses involved in the organisation of such concerts, but on the other hand I believe that if prices are kept on the low side, more people will be able to attend and therefore the organisers have a better chance of making a profit.

I would also suggest that the Malta Tourism Authority does its best to promote such activities in its marketing exercises. I am sure that many tourists would be attracted to spend a few days in Malta if they knew that they would be able to attend music concerts.
