Sirens 2X 10
San Giljan Zara 3
(3-0, 3-0, 1-1, 3-2)
These two sides started this match level on equal points in the table with three wins. A somewhat interesting encounter was expected especially after that the first round game between these sides resulted in a tight affair with sirens just pipping the Saints with the odd goal at 6-5.
This was however not to be yesterday at Tal-Qroqq as Sirens, with Paul Privitera missing once again, were totally superior and made good use of their breaks in the initial first half of the game to go 6-0 ahead. In the meantime, San Giljan could not find a way to penetrate their opponents' zone cover defence.
With the winners clearly decided, the last session was practically a mere formality.

Neptunes Vodafone 29
Marsaxlokk Freeport 2
( 7-1, 7-0, 7-1, 8-0)
Neptunes regained solitary leadership in the table and now are on 12 points, two ahead of rivals Sliema with both teams having played equal games.
The last programme next weekend will determine this year’s Winter League champion. Neptunes will face Sirens (these are out of the title race) and only need a single point to retain the winter crown. Sliema’s only hopes are that Sirens beat Neptunes added with the fact that the Blues also then beat San Giljan (the Saints had grabbed a surprise 6-5 victory in the first round) on their part.
The final score indicates more than clearly Neptunes’ superiority as they easily amassed goal after goal against their modest opponents.
The Reds had seven goals respectively in the initial two sessions with in-form Steve Camilleri having a field day (as did some other of his team-mates) scoring six personal goals making good use of his swimming potential.
The final session ended with 8 goals for the reds as Camilleri, Stellini and Sean Gravina combined for 11 nettings between them.
Neptunes: N. Gouder, N. Lanzon 5, R. Mock 1, K. Farrugia 1, E. Cachia, J. Bonnici, S. Camilleri 8, L. Attard 1, D. Camilleri 3, S. Gravina 3, T. Agius, M. Stellini 5, M. Pisani 2.
