A Zabbar man was charged yesterday with being in possession of and circulating counterfeit cash.
Melvin Pace, 19, was charged with possessing and circulating counterfeit Lm10 and Lm2 notes.
In a separate case, Pace was once again arraigned before magistrate Jacqueline Padovani and charged with being in possession of heroin. He was also accused of relapsing.
Pace pleaded not guilty to all the charges brought against him. His request for bail was turned down and he was remanded in custody.
Police inspector Mario Tonna prosecuted in both cases.
Dr Franco Debono and Dr Charmaine Cherett appeared for the accused.
