The police are investigating the death of a 42-year-old woman who collapsed in a residence in Hamrun and died in hospital some time later.

A police report said that the police were informed that a woman had been taken to hospital after she lost consciousness in a house in Mikiel Anton Vassalli Street. She died in hospital later.

Magistrate Silvio Meli appointed court experts to help in the inquiry. An autopsy will be carried out this morning. The police are investigating.
