Members of the Social Issues committee of the National Council of Women, led by their coordinator Rita Camilleri, visited three shelter homes for women, Dar Merhba Bik, Dar Qalb ta’ Gesu and Dar Tereza Spinelli, on the occasion of Mother’s Day.

The aim of this visit was to show solidarity with some 32 mothers with children and single women who are passing through a difficult period in their lives.

The NCW delegation presented the residents with a hamper of toiletries, biscuits, snacks, sweets and other gifts, which were donated by various sponsors.
