The Council of the Medical Association of Malta condemns without reservation the acts of arson carried out against members of the press.

In a statement, Mam said this is not only an act of cowardly intimidation aimed at conditioning the freedom of expression of the journalists involved, but also a direct attack on the democratic values of a stable modern democratic society.

The medical profession shows its solidarity and support to the journalists involved, and calls on the authorities to put in all the necessary resources to bring those responsible to justice in the shortest possible time possible.
