A Canadian born Maltese national was yesterday conditionally discharged for two years after pleading guilty to misappropriating Lm2,500.
Jason Pace, 31, pleaded guilty to misappropriating the sum of Lm2,500 from the sale of a car to the detriment of Joseph Camilleri seven years ago.
The court, presided over by magistrate Giovanni Grixti noted that the accused cooperated with police, had a clean criminal record and that the case went back some seven years. He therefore conditionally discharged the accused for two years.
Police inspector Maurice Curmi prosecuted while Dr Jose Herrera and Dr Joe Giglio appeared for the defence.
