New Logo for Arts Council

Malta Independent Sunday, 28 May 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

The Malta Council for Culture and the Arts wants a fresh, dynamic logo that will reflect its mission to bring the arts into Maltese communities and enhance Malta’s cultural heritage both locally and abroad.

The Arts Council welcomes submissions from artists for a new Council logo. Each design must be in vector only, suitable for full-colour or monochrome production and easy to produce both in digital and printed form. Applicants can submit up to two works.

Every submission must have a respective nom de plume on the design itself and the applicant’s details must be clearly written on the application form. The winning entry will become the property of the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts.

An adjudicating panel set up by the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts will select the submissions. Decisions, once endorsed by the Council directors, will be final.

The winner of the successful entry will be rewarded with a holiday for two in a four/five-star hotel in Europe on a bed and breakfast basis including return airfares offered by the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts in collaboration with Starwood Hotels and Resorts. The prize does not include taxes. The closing date for submissions is 2 June and a non-refundable fee of Lm5 is to be paid for each entry.

Further information can be obtained from Bernadette Glanville on 2122 0762 or via e-mail on [email protected]. Application forms and regulations can be collected from The Malta Council for Culture and the Arts, 230, Republic Street, Valletta, or downloaded from the website: www.maltaculture.com.
