For the second consecutive year, the Caritas Malta Epilepsy Association has had an offer from the Irish Epilepsy Association to send a Maltese youth with epilepsy to follow a course entitled Training for Success. The Training for Success programme runs for a full year from in Sligo, Ireland, from August to August. It is funded by the Dept of Industry and Enterprise through FAS, which is the statutory body responsible for vocational training in Ireland. All the students are paid a training allowance and an accommodation allowance. No fees apply to the course.
During this course the students are taught how to become more independent, learn how to express themselves, prepare themselves for a working life or continue with their academic studies.
The youth must be between 18-25 years old, have epilepsy, is independent and motivated.
