Malta’s men’s team suffered a second consecutive defeat in the Promotion Cup in Albania yesterday.

This time, it was Moldova who beat Malta 78-66.

Malta led 49-44 at the interval, but collapsed in the third session which the Moldovans dominated. Session scores 32-24, 17-20, 8-21, 9-13.

Top scorer was Etienne Bezzina on 14, followed by Michael Naudi 11, and Steve Schembri and Silvio Cassar on 10 each. Next best was C. Sammut with 7.
