Junior Lyceum Students in Strasbourg

Malta Independent Sunday, 4 June 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

In the early hours of Wednesday, the arrivals lounge at Malta International Airport was packed with eager parents waiting for flight KM3435 to land.

They were waiting for students from Carlo Diacono Zejtun Girls Junior Lyceum to arrive from an educational day tour to Strasbourg. Heavy eyes but big smiles showed that the day had been a great success.

The students were divided into two groups. One group was invited to attend a Parliament session at the European Parliament. The other group had a city tour and harbour cruise organised for them.

All this would not have been possible without headmistress Miss Ciappara’s strong will and determination, who never hesitated to knock on doors. It took hard work, time and good teamwork to organise such a memorable event for the students.

Thanks go to Miss Ciappara, Assistant Heads, staff and all sponsors. May such opportunities arise in the future so that students can broaden their knowledge of foreign cities.
